Leadership Cohort

So I have decided to finish up my Masters in Administration. I have been wanting to get finished with it but I could decide what school to go to for the whole deal. I started with SBU but then we moved and they no longer offer classes in the the BS area. I would have to travel to Boliver and that is just not happening! Anyway, this leadership cohort through UCM is located in the Blue Springs area and it just happen to find me on day....so I am going for it. I have meeting tomorrow morning with Dr. Stonner and Dr. Mohn (people who make the decision of you can participate in the cohort). I haven't really worried about this until now. I just finished my letter to apply, I have my application filled out and now I am thinking....I haven't really thought about this before tonight. It is funny because before having John, I would have been totally prepared a week ago. I would have my outfit layed out, letter printed off, and would have already practiced what I was going to say. However, that is not the case now. I have no idea what I am going to wear, the letter just got typed so it is not printed and I really don't know what I am going to say. My....how times have changed!

Pulling Up!!

What a funny face!
I love standing and getting my picture taken!!

John has started pulling up on anything he can get his hands on! We realized it when Matt went into get him one morning and he was standing in his bed!! We had to lower his bed because we are afraid he is going to be a little monkey and climb out of bed. We have baby proofed the house because he scoots everywhere! He loves anything that is not baby toys. He loves getting into the DVDs, the car seat, or the laptop. When we say his name and no, he turns and grins at us. He is a little squirt!

Gardening with Nana LeAnn

A couple of weekends ago, Nana LeAnn and Coach Pop (Jodi's mom and dad) came up to see us. We ended up taking advantage of the beautiful weather and planted some flowers. My pots needed cleaned out so Mr. John helped Nana clean them out. He wasn't to sure about it...doesn't have his green thumb yet!

Vacation to North Carolina

John and Matt at the coffee shop in Raliegh.
Little old man sitting on the beach.

Oh....that water is cold, but I don't want to take my feet out!

I love the beach and my new rockin' hat!

John and Mom getting ready to go out to eat.
A couple of weeks ago we went to North Carolina for spring break. We went out to see my brother and sister in law. It was a great visit. Scott and Emily had to work while we were out there, so we explored while they were in work. We checked out Wake Forest, visited their church, saw Wrightsville Beach, shopped around Wilmington, and explored Raliegh Duram. It was very fun and weather was BEAUTIFUL! John had his first plane ride and did very well. He smiled very sweetly at all the plane staff and they loved him. He let all kinds of people hold him too. He is quite the charmer! He loved the beach. As soon as we set him down on the sand, he put a handful in his mouth. It didn't even seem to bother him. He is a great traveler. Matt and I were walking around Wilmington, laughing, because it was all about John on the trip. We got to see him swing for the first time and you would have thought we just won a bunch of money. We were so excited because John was laughing and squealing while he was swinging. All of our pictures were of him and what he was doing. Oh my, it is funny how things change when you have a baby. It was a great family vacation, especially the first one with the 3 of us.

7 Months and Growing!

These are a few photos that Matt took a couple of weeks ago. Mr. John is getting so big! He is scooting all over the place. He also gets up on all 4's and rocks back and forth. He gets tired and just gets down on his belly to scoot where he wants to go. If we sit him in the stroller while we eat (not strapped in but the back all the way down) he will pull himself up on the side of stroller and try to stand up. He is still babbling all the time. Grunting...oh my he grunts! It is so funny. He has 4 teeth now and it seems the he might be getting 4 more. He's got little fangs because his middle top teeth haven't came in yet. I think they are on their way. OH...and he loves puffs (like cheerios). He picks them up by the handful and stuffs them all in his mouth. He is quite the eater.
Hope you enjoy! There will be more to come with pictures of our Spring Break trip!!!
