Tonight we had a sweet Parents As Teachers lady come to our house to do John's 3 year screening and Sophia's 1 year screening. Her name is Mrs. Penny. The screenings went wonderfully. It was neat and amazing to see our little ones doing the games and playing with Mrs. Penny. Both kiddos got all kinds of compliments and passed their screenings with flying colors.
Mr. John was said to be very articulate, an entertainer, and a smart little guy. Mrs. Sophia was said to have great moter skills and is on the verge of walking. Mrs. Penny was amazed at how our kids had NO social anxiety. They instantly loved her and played with her immediately.
We miss having our past PAT lady, Mrs. Patty, come visit us each month. However we are glad to have met Mrs. Penny. It is sad that PAT had so much funding cut. It is a wonderful program. Kids and families are missing out by not having these wonderful ladies in their home more often.
